We’ve had enough experience of death. Disappointment and pain have been frequent companions for us. It would be easy to despair, to give in to cynicism. But we know that death’s power is not absolute, and that sin and suffering are not more powerful than forgiveness and compassion. Because we have died with Christ, we have also risen with Christ.

Usually Lent is a difficult time for me. This year I gave up giving up. Giving up was easier than working hard on myself and I needed to change and trust the Lord. As it turns out that because of self isolation I was able to access daily mass, Sunday Mass, and celebrate Easter Vigil with my, yes my, precious church. It has been a long time since I have felt so close to the Lord. Excited, inspired. Relieved that I have been listening to his gentle voice.
